Book Review: Knitting Short RowsThechniques for Great Shape & Angles by Jennifer Dassau knittingvortex

Jennifer has a huge quantity of patterns in her Ravelry store. I asked Interweave to send us this book because the sweater on the cover, I fell in love the moment I saw it and I have the yarn to make it too. The way the sweater is created with the buttons and the opening on the side is genious.

Here is a quote from Knitscene Spring Edition (page 10)

Jennifer Dassau brings her knowlege of fashion production to this book from Interweave. Known for her unique and wearable designs, Jennifer breaks down short-row techniques for knitters of all skill levels.

There are many different ways to create short rows, in the book she has several chapters devoted to explaining it.

I also love that a lot of the patterns are knit in Worsted weight yarns.

Check them out on Ravelry here

  1. When someone’s nephew has a child, that child is considered a grandniece or a grandnephew to the nephew’s aunt or uncle. The terms great-niece and great-nephew are also appropriate for this relationship. Children of the nephew can refer to the nephew’s aunts or uncles as great aunts/uncles or grandaunts/uncles.
