Penny Points therapeutic copper sock needles, size 1.5 (2.5mm) PennyPoints on Etsy.

IMG_20151010_165141.jpg

Blurb: Since ancient times copper has been used therapeutically, and today it is still widely used to relieve joint pain and arthritis, to combat aging, and to aid the immune system. If you are a believer in the therapeutic qualities of copper these needles are made with you in mind. I know people that swear by copper’s benefits but, of course, I can not guarantee that your body will be affected by copper in the same way that many claim.
I like copper needles because I want to knit with a natural material that won’t snap in two! Penny Points are made of solid copper which may be a factor for you if you have reactions to nickel or don’t like aluminum. I also love the look of copper’s natural patina that develops over time.

Blackthorn needles in size 2.25mm (US1)

IMG_20151010_165035.jpg

Blurb: My Blackthorn double point needles were the first carbon fiber knitting needles in the world! These sets of 5 needles – in nine sizes from US 0000 to US 4 have the feel of bamboo (smooth but not slick) and feel warm to the touch. They are as strong as but more flexible than steel. Custom lengths also available.

And we got a gorgeous surprise made by our favourite dyer Julianna a.k.a. juliannapiglet from Lynne,Julianna’s Fibre Lucky Star Sock yarn in the Opal colourway to celebrate her birthday!!
